How scoring works in Ticket to Ride
- Routes: points are scored when claimed and again counted at the end – 1 car = 1 pt, 2 = 2, 3 = 4, 4 = 7, 5 = 10, 6 = 15 (Europe also has an 8-car route worth 21).
- Completed destination tickets: add the value printed on each ticket whose two cities you connected.
- Uncompleted destination tickets: subtract the value of every ticket you did not complete.
- Longest Continuous Path: +10 points to the player with the longest continuous route of trains (ties: every tied player scores it).
- Europe edition: +4 points for every train station you did not use.
- Highest total wins. Ties go to the player who completed more destination tickets, then to the Longest Path holder.
Good to know
- This covers the USA base game and the Europe edition. Other maps (Nordic Countries, Asia, Germany…) use different route tables and bonuses – use the closest fields and adjust manually.
